Before you call
The questions everybody asks.
Will an iron door make the house hotter?
No. A security door sits outside the entry door and is mostly open air, which is the point: it lets you leave the front door open for the breeze without leaving the house open. Entry doors are a different product and are insulated.
How long does a custom door take?
Design and fabrication take weeks rather than days, because everything is built to the opening rather than pulled off a rack. The measurement appointment is the point at which a real date can be given.
Is the steel actually American?
Yes, 100% USA-made steel, fabricated here in Arizona. It matters less for patriotism than for consistency: the same supplier means the same gauge and the same finish on a door ordered three years apart.
What does it cost?
It depends on the opening, the collection and the glass, which is why nobody honest quotes an iron door over the phone. The measurement visit is free and the quote comes from it.
